The Guide of LOTRO

To Buy Lotro Gold is used in all aspects in the game, almost omnipotent. You can barter for the items with skirmish marks but 3600 marks for the last 2 pieces seem a bit excessive. 7200 marks would take forever to earn at a casual pace. Being at a much higher level than the level 37 soldier, we would rather barter the marks to improve their skills so they are at least equal to level 60 too. There are two solo solutions. The one is that you go out and find stuff that other players will pay lots of silver for. Buy the item from another player. Another is that you run skirmishes until you have the marks for it.
If you use the first way, you have to beat the boss six times. Doing it in a group it also time consuming. There is only one drop, but everybody is going to be rolling on it. We found it was time effective to go earn money and buy them. It took so long to get to the ROWD or Slime holder. Obviously at level 65, you do not need six. It goes a lot quicker, especially if you got someone with the keys.
You can level in skirmishes. They are a readily available source of kill XP. With the tight packs of mobs, you can rack up a decent amount of XP in a fairly short time. And the skirmish marks are for use in a variety of ways. You can train your soldier at the Skirmish Trainer, you can buy cosmetic gear for you or your soldier, you can buy crafting materials, you can buy reputation items, you can buy armor, and you can buy Legendary Item stuff once you hit 45 and pick up your first LI in Lotro.
Actually, the entire premise behind skirmishes was that everyone can do them in whatever time they have available. Even if you only login for half an hour once a week, you can do a skirmish in that time and eventually work toward your class quest items. That is the whole point. Yes, it takes a lot of time, but if you can not group, you have another option.
